Cabinet approves 4/6-lane Access-Controlled Kanpur-Kabrai section of NH-34 in Uttar Pradesh on BOT (Toll) Mode at ₹7,145.14 crore

• CCEA (chaired by PM) approved a 117.7 km Kanpur–Kabrai Access-Controlled Greenfield Highway on NH-34, a key segment of the Bhopal–Kanpur Economic Corridor under the National Highways (O) Programme
• Cost ₹7,145.14 crore; built by NHAI on BOT (Toll) mode, along with O&M of the existing Kanpur-Kabrai stretch
• Four-lane (structures designed for future six-laning), operating speed 80–100 kmph; cuts travel time from 3.5 hrs to 1.5 hrs (58%)
• Aligned with PM GatiShakti National Master Plan; connects 16 Economic Nodes, 9 Social Nodes and 10 Logistics Nodes; links NH-34/35, Bundelkhand Expressway, Kanpur Ring Road and several State Highways
