National Workshop on Seafood Exports Held in Visakhapatnam to Strengthen Fisheries Value Chains

• The Department of Fisheries (Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying), with the Ministry of Commerce and the Andhra Pradesh government, held a National Workshop on Seafood Exports in Visakhapatnam on 5–6 June 2026
• Participating institutions: MPEDA, Export Inspection Council (EIC), NFDB, NABARD, NCDC, NCEL, SFAC and Invest India, plus exporters and processors
• Focus: shift from volume-based to value-added, high-quality exports; traceability, sustainable certification, export diversification, and deep-sea/EEZ resources
