Health Ministry launches Monthly Webinar Series on Best Practices under NHM to promote innovation in public health systems

• Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare launched a Monthly Webinar Series on Best Practices under the National Health Mission (NHM) on World Population Day 2026 (11 July)
• Envisioned as a year-round knowledge-sharing platform where States/UTs present successful health innovations, exchange implementation experience and scale up evidence-based practices
• Chaired by Aradhana Patnaik, Additional Secretary & Mission Director (NHM); National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC) to provide technical support for documenting innovations, feeding into the National Summit on Good and Replicable Innovative Practices
• Inaugural theme: Anemia, Child and Adolescent Health; 500+ officials from national, State and district levels participated
• Innovations showcased: Jharkhand — Anemia Mukt Bharat T4 App and integrated HBNC-HBYC home visits; Chhattisgarh — Chirayu Day under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK); Madhya Pradesh — initiative on adolescent obesity
• Objective: cross-learning and replication of context-specific, scalable solutions aligned with national health programmes
