• The 14th Session of the India-Uzbekistan Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation was held in Tashkent
• It was co-chaired by Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal (via video conference) and Uzbek Deputy Minister Shokhrukh Gulamov
• Both sides agreed to deepen trade, address non-tariff barriers and work towards doubling bilateral trade in the next three years
• Uzbekistan's trade turnover with India reached US$ 1.3 billion in 2025 (up 33.3%); India's exports to Uzbekistan grew at a 12.9% CAGR over the past decade
• Priority sectors: pharmaceuticals, agriculture and processed foods, agricultural machinery, engineering goods, electronics, textiles, and healthcare and education services
• India's total goods and services exports were estimated at US$ 860.09 billion in FY 2025-26
