• The Ministry of Panchayati Raj will hold an outreach workshop on the Atmanirbhar Panchayat Programme at Gandhinagar, Gujarat on 9 June 2026, in hybrid mode connecting Gram and Block Panchayats via video conferencing
• The programme promotes financial self-reliance of Panchayats: through a national challenge, Panchayats submit revenue-generating project ideas using idle assets and untapped local opportunities
• Selected ideas get technical assistance to become bankable projects, funded via PPP, CSR, bank finance and convergence with other schemes
