Ministry of Ayush Signs MoU with Digital India BHASHINI Division to Strengthen Multilingual Ayush Digital Services

• The Ministry of Ayush signed an MoU with the Digital India BHASHINI Division (DIBD), under the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), to enable AI-powered transcription and translation of Ayush knowledge systems into multiple Indian languages
• Under the initiative "BHASHINI Rajyam – A BHASHINI Sahayogi Program", the BHASHINI Platform — India's National Language Digital Public Infrastructure — will be integrated across Ayush digital platforms and services
• Ayush Grid portals, applications and AI tools are proposed to be made available in all 22 scheduled languages of the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution, to widen accessibility and outreach
• The collaboration will develop domain-specific multilingual terminology systems, strengthen Ayush language datasets, and build contextual AI models for healthcare communication across Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, Yoga & Naturopathy, Sowa-Rigpa and Homoeopathy
• The MoU was signed by Dr. Subodh Kumar (Director, Ministry of Ayush) and Shri Amitabh Nag (CEO, Digital India BHASHINI Division), in the presence of Ayush Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha
• Officials stressed that making Ayush's civilisational knowledge accessible in every Indian language is essential for inclusive healthcare delivery
